Our client, a leading Big 4 consultancy, is seeking a Director/Partner to lead and grow their Public Health Insurance consulting offering. This role focuses on advising statutory health insurers and related stakeholders on strategy, operating model transformation, digital enablement, cost efficiency and regulatory change. The successful candidate will drive high-impact transformation programmes, build senior client relationships, and contribute to the firm’s broader healthcare agenda.

Key Focus Areas
The Director will lead engagements covering a broad range of public health insurance topics, including:
Strategy & Operating Model
- Enterprise strategy for statutory health insurers
- Operating model redesign across claims, member services, care management and contracting
- Governance, organisational structure and performance management
Regulation & Policy Advisory
- Interpreting and responding to policy changes and industry reforms
- Supporting clients in navigating funding pressures, reimbursement models and compliance requirements
Digital Transformation
- Designing digital strategies across member engagement, claims management and provider interactions
- Advising on technology modernisation, process automation and core systems optimisation
- Evaluating digital health tools, telehealth models and digital platforms
Data, Analytics & Reporting
- Developing data strategies and improving data governance
- Supporting predictive analytics, health outcomes modelling and utilisation insights
- Enhancing reporting frameworks for operational, financial and regulatory needs
Performance Improvement
- Process optimisation across claims, finance, back office and care management
- Workforce efficiency, productivity analysis and cost transformation
- Quality improvement in service delivery and member experience
Your Profile
We are seeking a senior consulting leader with:
- Extensive experience in health insurance, statutory health funds or public health systems (consulting or industry)
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks, funding models and market dynamics
- Proven experience leading strategic or large transformation projects in public health insurance
- Strong commercial acumen, including business development and account management
- Ability to engage senior stakeholders across executive, regulatory and policy environments
- Experience managing and developing teams at manager and senior manager levels
- Excellent communication, analytical and conceptual skills
- Fluent German and English (written and spoken)
Candidates from strategy consulting, operations consulting, technology/digital consulting, or broader healthcare consulting backgrounds are welcome.
